The Scarecrow Festival took place over the weekend of 14 and 15 September 2019
Much fun will be had at the biannual Scarecrow Festival due to be held in mid-September.
The event will provide a great family day out with many fun activities including bouncy inflatables, stalls, games and sports and a pig roast as well as a bar, tea and cakes and candy floss.
There will be live music to keep the party mood going as well as the imaginative and eye catching scarecrow displays which will be appearing throughout the village on the scarecrow trail.
All the money raised will go to a variety of different organisations in the village.
As an added bonus the Mayor of the Borough, Councillor Jo Beirne, will be in attendance at 2pm on Saturday to officially declare the children's play facilities open, with thanks being extended to the Friends of Great Doddington Park, the Scarecrow committee, the parish council for it's support and the borough council of Wellingborough for the capital funding given to make this long held vision a reality.
The next scarecrow festival will take place in 2021. For more information please contact Sam Cunningham at SAMPETE@UWCLUB.NET.
Unfortunately due to the Covid-19 pandemic this will not take place
